SPEEDING IN FIELDCREEK

Excessive traffic speed on all main Fieldcreek streets has become a safety issue that must be addressed immediately. Specifically, area residents, service workers, construction crews, lawn service employees, and visitors regularly violate the residential speed limit of 25 mph. Homeowners along these streets have asked the HOA Board of Directors to establish a committee to look into this matter and meet with appropriate authorities. Mr. Terry Matter has been appointed Chairman of the Traffic and Safety Committee. The officials will be asked to study our traffic issues and recommend the best course of action to improve safety for our community members.  Suggestions such as speed humps, additional stop signs, radar monitoring etc. are options that we will encourage the officials to consider in reducing the probability of a serious accident. While none of these options are desired, corrective action is necessary at this time. Children playing or waiting at the bus stops and residents jogging or walking depend on safe driving speeds by those using our community roads.
